Well done to Saoirse and Alan  won bronze medals  as part of the Mayo Cross Country team at the Community Games All Ireland in U. L. today . Our third national bronze title for pupils of our school in the last fortnight !

One of our parents in a school parent as partners project  arranged a visit to Castlebar GMIT to view their facilities and taste activities there. Fiona Shevlin who has a child in Mr Duffy’s class and works with GMIT arranged with Mr Duffy & MR Grealis to visit GMIT today for a variety of activities.

Both third classes travelled on local  history trip  to Céide Fields with Mr Grealis , Mr Duffy & Ms Skeffington.

On Saturday Ms Nestor’s & Mr Scott’s Classes made their First Holy Communion in Breaffy Church at 11am and 1pm . Ms Nestor and Ms Gallen provided superb music and song for this special occasion. Mr Duffy continues with his after-school golf lessons at Mayo Driving Range Castlebar. Aidan Moran gives pointers to our pupils there . The lessons will end with a day in Balla Golf Club in June .

All of our eight contestants from 5th & 6th who got through the All Ireland Pangea Maths Olympiad today with their families . We had a great day today in Trinity College Dublin at the All- Ireland Pangea Maths Olympiad. Our eight pupils from 5th & 6th had an early start to arrive Thomas Davis Theatre for registration and to commence the competition at 11 am.
