Our 6th class robotics team had great success at the VEX ATU robotics cup in ATU Mayo recently when they scooped the teamwork challenge award after 13 tough matches against teams from around Ireland, including the All-Ireland champions from Donegal. Guilherme, Daniel, Dorothy and Filip represented the school wonderfully on the day and also picked up a sportmanship award for their assistance to other teams, winning some robotics equipment for the school.

Our school is beautifully situated beside Breaffy Wood, two miles east of Castlebar on the main Castlebar-Galway road. There are 415 pupils on the roll. This is a mixed school catering for pupils from infants to sixth class. We have twenty-six teachers, one SNAs, a secretary , a caretaker and a cleaner.
