First Holy Communion

We had our Holy Communion ceremonies on Saturday 19th May in Breaffy Church. Our first ceremony, Ms Nestor’s class was at 11 am and Ms Mannion’s Class made theirs at 1 pm. Fr Mc Cormack celebrated both ceremonies. The boys and girls in both classes were fantastic with their prayers, readings, singing and playing of instruments. Their artwork looked great on display in our church for this special family occasion. Our active Parents’ Assoc put on a reception in our school hall for all families afterwards. Visitors from outside our school community commented on how well the children in second class were prepared, on how each individual pupil had a role to play. The stained glass window artwork and the reception in the school hall also received many compliments.
