Maths week 2023 gave our students the chance to engage and have fun with maths. Mr Shevlin’s 5th class kicked off maths week on Friday 13th of October by tuning into a live Izak 9 challenge.
Every day last week, students from 1st to 6th class had the chance to attempt the “Problem of the Day” challenge during school time.
Our infant classes went on a shape-hunting maths trail with the help of 6th class. Well done to all students for participating in Maths Week 2023.

Our school is beautifully situated beside Breaffy Wood, two miles east of Castlebar on the main Castlebar-Galway road. There are 415 pupils on the roll. This is a mixed school catering for pupils from infants to sixth class. We have twenty-six teachers, one SNAs, a secretary , a caretaker and a cleaner.
