Robotics . Mr Canny and Mr Hennelly have piloted LegoWedo robotics in 6th class. Pupils learn to design , build , code and programme lego pieces with the use of our class set of ipads. This new initiative is proving very successful in the senior classes and is being rolled out to 5th and 4th classes also. This forms part of our Lego numeracy/ ICT theme throughout the school.

Our school is beautifully situated beside Breaffy Wood, two miles east of Castlebar on the main Castlebar-Galway road. There are 415 pupils on the roll. This is a mixed school catering for pupils from infants to sixth class. We have twenty-six teachers, one SNAs, a secretary , a caretaker and a cleaner.
