Ms Gallen’s 4th Class visited Turlough House today to meet their pen pals from Behy NS.

We had a great day on Friday for Cruinniú na n-Óg in our school hall. It was a welcome chance for our pupils to showcase their return to traditional music along with a percussion workshop and Ukelele. Well done to both our girls and boys Gaelic football teams who played brilliantly today. Our Boys defeated Kiltimagh in their semi- final and they will play Claremorris in the County Final. Our Girls defeated Ballaghaderreen in their semi-final and they will play Ballinrobe in their County Final. Both finals will take place next Tuesday in Bekan.

Mr Minogue’s & Mr Maxwell’s Class went to Achill  today for their school tour. Ms Commons , Ms Doherty & Mr Tunney also travelled with them. The weather there looked more promising than the damp morning they left behind them in Breaffy .            

6 th Class went to Glasnevin Cemetery, Jump Zone and Liffey Valley on their school tour . Their bus failed to restart after stopping at Apple Green on the way up and this caused some delay . We had a pleasant surprise today when Jakub our fabulous caretaker brought in a pet lamb and 20 week old chickens .
