A huge congratulations to our school’s music ensemble who are one of just six primary schools in Ireland to qualify for the prestigious ‘Waltons Music for School Competition’. The final will be held in The National Concert Hall May 7th. It is a great honour for our school to be selected. Well done to all the children and to the teachers Maura Thornton, Mags Gallen and Edward Scott.

Our school is beautifully situated beside Breaffy Wood, two miles east of Castlebar on the main Castlebar-Galway road. There are 415 pupils on the roll. This is a mixed school catering for pupils from infants to sixth class. We have twenty-six teachers, one SNAs, a secretary , a caretaker and a cleaner.
