We were all delighted to welcome back Gerry Jennings, Club Development Officer, for the new season of Gaelic Football Coaching. Gerry will work with all the classes over the next few months. Congrats to our Sport’s Quiz Team, Tomás, Luke, Aoife, Ryan, Amy and Jamie, who came 2nd in this evening’s Connacht Final in Claremorris, finishing 2 points behind the winning school, Lackagh NS from Galway.   Many thanks to our friends in Scoil Phádraig, Westport for hosting us in a Chess Jamboree yesterday. A great experience for all involved and new friendships made.

On Sunday February 16th, pupils from 6th class played a rounders exhibition match at half time of the Mayo v Tyrone Allianz League match in McHale Park, Castlebar. Thanks to Ms. Tuohy for organizing this great opportunity for our pupils to show off their skills and to play on front of a big crowd.

Our two boys’ soccer teams participated in the FAI Primary Schools 5’s competition in Milebush today. The conditions were tough but both teams displayed wonderful skills and great determination throughout the day. Our A squad will now progress to the Mayo finals on the 8th of April. Second class really enjoyed yoga during wellbeing week. They warmed up, listened to a story and tried out lots of different poses and stretches!
