Mr. Shevlin’s 4th Class had great fun over the past few weeks planning, designing, constructing and decorating their ‘Amazing Building Constructions.’ The pupils worked in groups and enjoyed presenting their finished constructions to the class. Well done boys and girls! Alongside this, they also showed off their architectural skills by designing floor plans for their dream home.

Our Parents’ Association is organising a talk in our school hall on Thursday 23rd March @ 7.30. The guest speaker is Amanda McGuinness from ASIAM. All parents invited to this event.

>Second Class made their First Confessions today. Everyone did really well! Fr José was the celebrating priest Ms Nestor and Ms Slattery are the class teachers.

Well done to both our Credit Union Quiz teams , under 11 & under 13 who participated so well in the area chapter finals in Knockranny House this afternoon. Our school having qualified at the west Mayo finals in four evens, solo singing , recitation ballad group and instrumental group did our school extremely proud with our recitation and solo singing just missing out on a prize and our Ballad Group/ Bailéad Grúpa and Ceol Uirlise / instrumental group both coming in first place. To celebrate this years World Book Day, Mr. Scott’s senior infants class and Mr. Minogue’s third class took part in a paired reading lesson. The children really enjoyed reading and discussing their books with children from another class. Everyone had great fun!
